Softball Recap: Wesleyan Christian Academy Drops Season-High Score on Bethany Community

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wesleyan Christian Academy). They put the hurt on the Bethany Community Wolves with a sharp 13-7 victory on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Wesleyan Christian Academy let Juliana Abantohollans and Allison Cheek run wild. Abantohollans scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Cheek went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Abantohollans also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ella Joyce, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Wesleyan Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Wesleyan Christian Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-4. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 11 hits in those games compared to only four in the others. As for Bethany Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
