Volleyball Recap: Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS Comes Up Short

Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oelwein Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Oelwein, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS will be playing in front of their home fans against Eagle Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oelwein, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Gladbrook-Reinbeck on the 13th.
