Cobre came tearing into Thursday's matchup with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Socorro Warriors as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cobre was: they took every set by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-1, 25-9, 25-8.

Hayley Gutierrez paced Cobre's offense, picking up 28 kills. Gutierrez got some help from Isis Dominguez and her 37 assists. Sami Huerta controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Cobre's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Socorro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cobre will square off against rival Hot Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Socorro is set to take on their familiar foe Hatch Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
