            Softball Recap: Crockett Cougars vs. McCallum Knights        
        
		
        
        
            Crockett came tearing into  Tuesday's  matchup with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the McCallum Knights get on the board and left with  a   5-0  win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  8-4  back in March.
The result came thanks to  Emily Castillo's shutout, as she gave up just four  hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for  her.
 At the plate,  Sadie Peyton was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Kaitlyn Vasquez, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
