Basketball Recap: West Tallahatchie Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

West Tallahatchie won the last time they faced West Bolivar and things went their way on Tuesday too. The West Tallahatchie Choctaws walked away with a 29-22 victory over the West Bolivar Eagles. The win was familiar territory for the Choctaws who have now won four contests in a row.

West Tallahatchie was led to victory by Mi'Kenzi Christian and Kydresha Washington. Christian went 7 for 16 on her way to 18 points and eight steals, while Washington posted nine points and five steals. The matchup was Christian's fourth in a row with at least ten points.

West Tallahatchie has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points per game. As for West Bolivar, they are on a 36-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

West Tallahatchie will square off against Simmons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Tallahatchie is on a three-game streak of home wins, Simmons a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for West Bolivar, they are taking a road trip to square off against South Delta at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
