Football Recap: Des Moines Christian Piles Up the Points Against Knoxville

It was a proper cat-fight when Des Moines Christian challenged Knoxville on Friday. The Lions simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Panthers 38-11. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 21 points or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Des Moines Christian and bumps their season record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.5 points over those games. As for Knoxville, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Lions 13.7, the Cubs 14.3) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Knoxville is set to challenge their familiar foe Williamsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
