Softball Recap: Big Sky Eagles vs. Helena Bengals

On SaturdayBig Sky's undefeated season almost came to an end. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Helena Bengals 8-6. This was payback for Big Sky, who suffered an 11-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Grace Hood was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and a double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last four times she's played. Sadie Mcguinn was another key contributor, going 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.

On Helena's side, Faith Howard was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up seven earned (and one unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk).
