Baseball Game Preview: Somerset Bulldogs vs. Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls)

The Somerset Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Somerset easily dispatched Pearsall on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Bulldogs fell just short of Floresville by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Tigers/Jaguars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Eleazar Hernandez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 13 Ks.

Meanwhile, Uvalde lost 11-1 to Devine on Friday. The Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Somerset's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Uvalde, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6-2.
