Basketball Game Preview: Southwestern Wildcats vs. Black Hawk Warriors

The Southwestern Wildcats and the Black Hawk Warriors will compete for holiday cheer at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Southwestern has three straight wins, Black Hawk has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Southwestern is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Riverdale to the tune of 87-35 on Friday. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 35 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-26, which was the final score in Black Hawk's tilt against Potosi on Friday.

Southwestern's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Black Hawk, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Southwestern against Black Hawk in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 90-44 win. Does Southwestern have another victory up their sleeve, or will Black Hawk turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
