Softball Recap: Stanhope Elmore Comes Up Short

After flying high against Percy Julian on Thursday, Stanhope Elmore came back down to earth. The Mustangs took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chilton County Tigers on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 back in February.

Stanhope Elmore dropped their record down to 7-15 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Chilton County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-7-2 record this season.

Stanhope Elmore has already played their next matchup, a 12-2 defeat against Brewbaker Tech on the 22nd. As for Chilton County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-3 loss against Marbury on the 22nd.
