California Lutheran is 2-8 against United Christian Academy since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The C-Hawks will host the Eagles at 3:15 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
California Lutheran will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Monday, then bounced right back against Sherman Indian on Tuesday. The C-Hawks were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Braves. Considering the C-Hawks have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Colton McGee was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, California Lutheran got a massive performance out of Christian Sutton, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave Sutton a new career-high. Mathias Galanos was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, United Christian Academy came into Friday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Sherman Indian a 14-0 shutout on Friday.
Isaac Alvarez was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Estrada, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.
California Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for United Christian Academy, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. California Lutheran has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .514. However, it's not like United Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .453.
