Softball Recap: Southwest Comes Up Short

Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 29-3 to the Benbrook Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-3 on March 4th.

Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Benbrook, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Southwest will square off against rival Carter-Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Benbrook is set to face off against their familiar foe Western Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
