It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but MacArthur ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Highlanders have posted since April 22, 2025.

MacArthur's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Bishop McGuinness, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-18.

MacArthur will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Fighting Irish: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
