Softball Recap: Holmes Wins Going Away Against Warren

Holmes barely beat Warren the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Holmes blew past Warren 13-3 on Friday. The Huskies have beaten the Warriors the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

Holmes' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Warren, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Holmes is set to challenge their familiar foe Sotomayor at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Warren will square off against rival Stevens at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
