Recap: Austin Panthers vs. Irvin Rockets
The Austin Panthers won the last time they faced the Irvin Rockets, and things went their way on Friday too. Austin came out on top against Irvin by a score of 23-13. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Austin.
Austin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ruben Bustillos, who rushed for 208 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.6 yards per carry. Bustillos was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards. Sal Duarte also helped out as he racked up 102 rushing yards.
Austin has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Irvin, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Austin will face off against Andrews at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Andrews presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Austin in Texas (Andrews is ranked 409th, while Austin is ranked 848th). Irvin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
