After a string of seven wins, Permian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 66-49 to the Rockwall-Heath Hawks. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in December of 2020.

Rockwall-Heath's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Paxton Ivy led the charge by going 6 for 10 on his way to 18 points. The dominant performance also gave Ivy a new career-high in blocks (two). Kaleb Turner-Dicus was another key player, going 7 for 12 on his way to 16 points and five assists.

Permian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Rockwall-Heath, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

Permian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-44 loss against College Park on the 27th. As for Rockwall-Heath, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 75-50 defeat against University on the 27th.
