Lyman had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Geneva Knights out 3-2. The win was all the more spectacular given the Greyhounds' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Knights are ranked 113th).

Natalie Rowen and Madelyn Sherrill scored all three of Lyman's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Lyman is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those ten matches. As for Geneva, they moved to 9-2-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Lyman nor Geneva have any future games scheduled.
