Softball Recap: Lakewood Lancers vs. Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets
Lakewood dropped their record down to 15-4 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They fell 3-0 to the Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets. The Lancers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Yellowjackets from their previous meeting back in April of 2022.

Ashlyn Carder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
