Softball Recap: Dexter Comes Up Short

Dexter fell victim to Orono and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 15-0 to the Riots. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Dexter saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlyn Cookson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Dexter's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Orono, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Dexter wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-2 loss against Central on the 3rd. As for Orono, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-2 defeat against Old Town on the 3rd.
