After a string of three wins, Washington County's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 17-5 to the Collins Titans.

Ariana Gonzalez was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Medley, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Collins, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington County will take on Portland Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Commanders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Collins, they will challenge Hart County at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
