Basketball Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

If Kennedy was riding high fresh off their 54-22 takedown of Richmond last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kennedy Eagles were outmatched by the El Cerrito Gauchos and fell 72-38. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Gauchos: they've now lost seven in a row.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for El Cerrito, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will take on Swett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Swett has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 206 points over their last three matches. As for El Cerrito, they will challenge Hercules at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. El Cerrito is facing Hercules at the right time seeing as Hercules is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
