Soccer Game Preview: Mountain Ridge vs. Bingham

For the first time this season, Mountain Ridge will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Friday. They are taking a road trip to take on the Bingham Miners at 3:30 p.m. Mountain Ridge's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Mountain Ridge is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Syracuse on Wednesday. Mountain Ridge fell 2-0 to Syracuse.

Meanwhile, Bingham had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over Olympus last Wednesday.

Mountain Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bingham, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Mountain Ridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Bingham in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mountain Ridge since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
