Softball Game Preview: Renaissance Phoenix vs. Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks

The Renaissance Phoenix are taking a road trip to challenge the Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Renaissance couldn't beat Dearborn on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Phoenix fell 10-5 to the Pioneers.

Kyle Hanks stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Jayanah Branch, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Bloomfield Hills unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Allen Park.

Renaissance's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Bloomfield Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6-1.
