Basketball Game Preview: Fairview Knights vs. Holy Family Tigers

The Fairview Knights will challenge the Holy Family Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Holy Family took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Fairview, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Fairview beat Centaurus 45-40. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Fairview found their leader in sophomore Chloe Hickory, who posted 16 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Hickory has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Julia Savage was another key player, putting up four points along with six boards and four steals.

Fairview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Holy Family was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 60-55 to Frederick.

Fairview is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Holy Family, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
