Softball Recap: Estrella Foothills Comes Up Short

Cactus hit Estrella Foothills with a five-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves lost 13-3 to the Cobras. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cobras apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Estrella Foothills saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Geneviecia O'Shea, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Estrella Foothills has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's still a better percentage than their 4-19 record this season. As for Cactus, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-9.

While Estrella Foothills had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
