Triad won the last time they faced Alton and things went their way on Monday too. The Knights blew past the Redbirds 10-3. Considering the Knights have won 16 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Triad and bumps their season record up to 25-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Alton, they moved to 18-12 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Triad will be playing in front of their home fans against Marion at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Wildcats a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. As for Alton, they will face off against Belleville West at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Redbirds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Maroons have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
