Volleyball Recap: Scott Starts Season with Victory Against Wallace County

Scott took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They skirted past the Wallace County Wildcats 2-1. The Beavers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Scott had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-18, 25-16.

Peyton Gentry paced Scott's offense, picking up 13 kills. Gentry got some help from Kinleigh Wren and her 24 assists. Gentry was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Wallace County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Scott has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Oakley on the 29th. As for Wallace County, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rawlins County on the 9th.
