Soccer Preview: Wayne County vs. Statesboro
The Wayne County Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to face off against the Statesboro Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many goals in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Wayne County waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They skirted past the Trojans 1-0. Wayne County's winning goal came courtesy of Caleb Copeland.
Meanwhile, for the first time since back in March, Statesboro was forced to settle for a draw two weeks ago. They and Southeast Bulloch finished up their match with a 1-1 draw.
Wayne County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Statesboro, they moved theirs to 8-7-3.
