Basketball Recap: Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Walkertown Wolfpack, falling 86-50. The Phoenix were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-25.

Walkertown had a senior duo take command as Kenan Grady went 11-for-20 en route to 25 points and eight boards and Camereon Cartlidge shot 80% from the field to rack up 17 points. Grady is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jaden McCandies, who shot 42% from the field on his way to 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Walkertown, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy will face off against Piedmont Classical at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Walkertown, they and East Forsyth will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest, having both just played.
