Basketball Recap: Deshawn Coulter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Victory Christian Center over Catholic

The Victory Christian Center Kings came up short against the Catholic Crusaders on Friday and fell 71-59. The Kings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Kings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Deshawn Coulter, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ron Rank, who earned 14 points.

Leading Catholic to victory were Carter Bullock and Dean Williams. Bullock shot 56% from the field to rack up 23 points along with six boards and three steals, while Williams dropped a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds. What's more, Williams also posted a 56% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Lee, who went 5-for-6 en route to 10 points.

Victory Christian Center's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Catholic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Victory Christian Center wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-45 defeat against Westminster Catawba Christian on the 29th. As for Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-52 victory against Charlotte Christian on the 29th.
