Baseball Recap: Glen Allen Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Glen Allen nor Godwin made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Jaguars fell 7-2 to the Eagles. Surprisingly, this marked the Jaguars' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Glen Allen's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. As for Godwin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Glen Allen is set to square off against their familiar foe Hermitage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Godwin will face off against rival Deep Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Eagles have won eight straight at home dating back to last season, while the Wildcats won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
