Basketball Recap: W.E.B. DuBois Academy Comes Up Short

On Friday, the W.E.B. DuBois Academy Lions were beaten by the Male Bulldogs 92-60. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 26th).

W.E.B. DuBois Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Male, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-8.

W.E.B. DuBois Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 78-71 defeat against Bethlehem on the 15th. As for Male, they will face off against Pleasure Ridge Park at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Pleasure Ridge Park's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 contests.
