Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Eagles vs. Mount Paran Christian Eagles

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Mt. Bethel Christian Academy had just enough and edged Paideia out 49-47.

Meanwhile, Mount Paran Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 79-70 victory over the Wolverines. The win was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Wolverines are ranked 71st).

Mount Paran Christian's win came from a few key players Mt. Bethel Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Shane Goines, who went 7-for-9 to rack up 21 points. What's more, he also posted a 71% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Christopher Park, who went 7-for-10 en route to 18 points.

Mount Paran Christian pushed their record up to 15-13 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points over those games. As for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, their record is now 15-10.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mount Paran Christian in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 73-69 win.
