Basketball Recap: South Iredell Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

South Iredell's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They managed a 48-44 victory over the Mooresville Blue Devils. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Blue Devils last Monday, they had to take a 59-56 defeat.

Mooresville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lilly Rumrill, who posted 15 points. Cadence Lane was another key player, putting up 12 points.

South Iredell's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11. As for Mooresville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Iredell will head out to take on A.L. Brown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Iredell is facing A.L. Brown at the right time seeing as A.L. Brown is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Mooresville, they will venture away from home to challenge West Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
