Dominguez strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 28-21 win over the Gardena Panthers. This was payback for the Dons, who suffered a 33-27 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Dominguez got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Donnie Johnson III out in front who rushed for 35 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 151 yards and one TD while completing 81.8% of his passes. Those 35 rushing yards gave Johnson III a new career-high. Dominguez also got a significant boost from Darrell Frazier, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 114 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Dominguez was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 212 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 212 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Dominguez's record is now 5-0. As for Gardena, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Dominguez and Gardena will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Dons will square off against rival Paramount at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Gardena is set to face off against their familiar foe Banning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
