Volleyball Recap: Coahulla Creek Puts Losing Streak Behind Them + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Coahulla Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Sonoraville Phoenix 2-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Colts as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Coahulla Creek got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 18-25, 15-7.

Alyce Norton paced Coahulla Creek's offense, picking up 16 kills. Norton got some help from Maddy Hambright and her 14 assists. Abby Triplett controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Sonoraville lost on Tuesday, don't look at Aubreigh Dixon. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and two aces.

Coahulla Creek now has a winning record of 17-16. As for Sonoraville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 23-12.

Coincidentally, Coahulla Creek and Sonoraville will both be playing Ringgold the next time they take the court. The Phoenix will head out to face the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Colts will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
