Baseball Recap: Berchmans Academy Comes Up Short

If Berchmans Academy was riding high fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Gueydan on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Saints came up short against the Carencro Bears on Thursday, falling 16-0.

Berchmans Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Collin Schexnayder, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Berchmans Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Carencro, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4.

While Berchmans Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
