Basketball Recap: Urbana Triumphs

Urbana won the last time they faced Tecumseh, and Peyton Mounce did her part to make sure it happened again. The Urbana Hillclimbers came out on top against the Tecumseh Arrows by a score of 52-40 on Saturday thanks in part to Mounce, who went 10 of 22 on her way to 25 points and eight rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Urbana's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Alisabeth Upchurch, who posted five points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three).

Urbana's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Tecumseh, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Urbana will welcome Stebbins at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Urbana is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season. As for Tecumseh, they will challenge Northmont at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Tecumseh is facing Northmont at the right time seeing as Northmont is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
