Volleyball Game Preview: Beechwood Tigers vs. South-Doyle Cherokees

The Beechwood Tigers will head out to challenge the South-Doyle Cherokees at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Beechwood got the win against Campbell County by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

South-Doyle not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Eagleton College & Career Academy. The victory continues a trend for the Cherokees in their matchups with the Royals: they've now won three in a row.

South-Doyle never let Eagleton College & Career Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-10.

Beechwood's win bumped their record up to 2-0. South-Doyle has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record.
