Softball Recap: Eastern York Golden Knights vs. Kennard-Dale Rams
Eastern York fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Kennard-Dale on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Kennard-Dale Rams by a score of 3-2. Eastern York has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Kennard-Dale's part, Taryn Ashenfelter was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over nine innings pitched. Ashenfelter has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
