Softball Recap: Eastern York Golden Knights vs. Kennard-Dale Rams
Eastern York fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Kennard-Dale on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Kennard-Dale Rams by a score of 3-2. Eastern York has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Kennard-Dale's part, Taryn Ashenfelter was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over nine innings pitched. Ashenfelter has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Ashenfelter was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with a stolen base.
