Football Game Preview: St. Joseph Academy Flashes vs. West Oaks Academy Flame + How To Watch

The St. Joseph Academy Flashes will square off against the West Oaks Academy Flame at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Joseph Academy has six straight wins, West Oaks Academy has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, St. Joseph Academy humbled Young Kids In Motion with a 49-12 victory. The Flashes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 27 points or more this season.

Cody Ott produced another solid effort throwing for 253 yards and five touchdowns on perfect 11-for-11 passing. What's more, he racked up 177.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. St. Joseph Academy's leading receiver Camden Coffindaffer was Ott's top target yet again, picking up 74 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to St. Joseph Academy's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Asher Glisson and Jack Powers, who racked up all four sacks between them.

Meanwhile, West Oaks Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Saint Stephen's Episcopal on Friday and fell 28-26.

St. Joseph Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for West Oaks Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

St. Joseph Academy came up short against West Oaks Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2023, falling 20-14. Can the Flashes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
