Softball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Ursuline hit Madison with a five-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Streaks lost 12-2 to the Fighting Irish. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Streaks in their meetings with the Fighting Irish: they've now lost three in a row.

Madison saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kara Mekulsia, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Madison's record now sits at 12-7. As for Ursuline, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-15.

As of now, neither Madison nor the Fighting Irish have any future games scheduled.
