Baseball Recap: Regis Jesuit Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

There's no place like home for Regis Jesuit, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Rock Canyon Jaguars with a sharp 10-0 victory on Monday. The Raiders were shut out 8-0 the last time they took on the Jaguars, so the Raiders were just returning the favor.

Carter Rathbun was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Christian Lopez, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Regis Jesuit always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Regis Jesuit pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Rock Canyon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

As for Rock Canyon, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Douglas County at 4:15 p.m. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight.
