Football Game Preview: Hackensack Comets vs. DePaul Catholic Spartans

The Hackensack Comets will welcome the DePaul Catholic Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hackensack's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three contests, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Hackensack took a blow against Ridgewood, falling 34-7.

Meanwhile, DePaul Catholic fell victim to Eastside and their airtight defense on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-0 to the Ghosts, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even if they lost, DePaul Catholic's defense still kept up the pressure with six sacks. Layla Edwards was especially locked on to Eastside's QB and sacked her four times. Alexis Kochan was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

DePaul Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Hackensack, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
