Basketball Recap: Andover Takes a Loss

Andover lost against Jasper-Troupsburg back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Andover Panthers lost to the Jasper-Troupsburg Wildcats at home by a 59-45 margin.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jasper-Troupsburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jim Ainsworth, who went 8 of 16 en route to 23 points and six rebounds. Ainsworth is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Landon Zver, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 17 points and five assists.

Andover's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Jasper-Troupsburg, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Andover will take on Non Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jasper-Troupsburg, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against McDowell at 11:30 p.m. on December 19th.
