Softball Recap: Clio Victorious

Clio proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Brighton Bulldogs 2-1.

Addie Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Summer Stevens was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Those runs were her first of the season.

Clio now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Brighton, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clio will welcome Lake Fenton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brighton, they will challenge Novi at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
