Baseball Recap: Sylmar Spartans vs. Verdugo Hills Dons
Sylmar waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Verdugo Hills Dons an 11-0 shutout. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by eight runs or more this season.
Alex Martinez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched.
