Softball Recap: Bishop Montgomery's Winning Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Bishop Montgomery couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the West Ranch Wildcats on Saturday, falling 12-5. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Knights, who until this matchup were averaging 3.32 runs allowed.

Bishop Montgomery saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macey Kim, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another was Emily Laralin, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

With the defeat, Bishop Montgomery broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-6. As for West Ranch, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-14 record this season.
