You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for East Ridge on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Tavares Bulldogs with a sharp 26-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

East Ridge can attribute much of their success to Scarlet Barahona, who rushed for 71 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

East Ridge wouldn't let Tavares keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Priscilla Steele was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance.

East Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Tavares, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, East Ridge will head out on the road to challenge Foundation Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Ridge's defense has only allowed 5.6 points per game this season, so Foundation Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Tavares, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against South Lake at 6:00 p.m.
