Basketball Recap: Firestone Comes Up Short

Firestone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 71-52 fall against the Garfield Community Learning Center Golden Rams. The Falcons were probably out for revenge after losing 72-34 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Firestone's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Garfield Community Learning Center, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Firestone will take on Copley in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Garfield Community Learning Center and St. Ignatius will compete for holiday cheer at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Garfield Community Learning Center's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
